COURSE ENROLLMENT- Enrollment for this course is limited to 8 students.

COURSE LOCATION - Silicon room at the HOA2 Arts and Crafts Center.

COURSE PREREQUISITES – Intermediate to advanced computer skills, this class is limited to the people that have attended the “Basic Home Network, Router & Internet Repair” class.

COURSE DESCRIPTION – One 1.5-hour session. This class is designed to teach students how to properly configure a wireless router, including SSID’s, guest accounts, WAN & LAN, QoS and firmware upgrades.

We will be using best security practices for each of the different routers. Each router will have a different subnet and then the students will test each router and other students will ping those routers, finally we will simulate faults in our network and troubleshoot the test routers on our network.

COURSE MATERIALS - The student should have a personal Flash or Jump drive for transporting files between the classroom and home. You will be using the classroom windows PCs and supplied test routers. You may also bring your own router if you wish.
