Windows 10 Basics: Working with Files & Folders


In this class we’ll explore the basic features that make up the Microsoft Windows file system user interface.  Note that Windows 11 has some differences and additional features.

 

Bring a flash drive to download the class presentation

How to organize the information (files) on your computer

How to make file folders

File extensions – what they tell you

Different ways of putting files in your folders

Tricks for managing your files with Windows 10 File Explorer

And a bonus… I’m running out of disk space. How and where can I save more information!

 

Prerequisites:

Attendance in the class “Introduction to PCs or a working knowledge of The Windows Task Bar and The Windows Start Menu.
