You will learn how to create a restore point (Windows), how often to update your security, configure your wired/wireless network adapter, and turn on view extensions. This class focuses on the safe and secure use of your browser and computer.
We will primarily be working with a modern browser that supports the use of security add-ons such as Firefox. You will learn how to use two search engines that do not keep logs. I will show you how to backup all your bookmarks/favorites. I will show you how to encrypt your DNS in the browser. If you don’t know what DNS means you will learn about it in this class. If you don’t wish to encrypt your DNS, then we will “hard code” DNS settings using best DNS providers. This is a security feature. We will briefly cover anonymizing tools and encrypted video.
